About

A colleague and good friend told me a couple of months ago that I was being a bit short with my team, and she was right. I really needed to hear that feedback.

Due to turnover, I ended up with a completely new team at the end of 2022 than the one I started with. I expected my new team to understand my expectations and how I like to work, but I hadn’t given them any of that information. It was a sobering moment, but I knew what I had to do next.

I needed to reset and help my new team understand me, my values, how I like to work, and what I expect from those who work with me. This is standard stuff, but I also realized I had never written any of this down.

That’s where Inspired Nonsense comes in. In this space, I write short articles on my personal thoughts on leadership, management, and technology, and how I apply those thoughts every day as an executive focused on building software for humans first.
